Fully Living In Transcendent Freeness!
David D. Cicia, Ed.D.
It is not very easy to adequately convey just what the experience of Free-Beingess is like. Abstract concepts don't do it justice because it is an experience, not a thought or idea. And actually, it is even more than an experience. It is a new way of experiencing, a new way of being and existing, a new way of functioning on all levels of your life.
And so, here I give you some examples of what some of my student's have written about their experiences, and how Free-Beingness has changed their lives. Each person's experience is unique to themselves, so there is no one typical experience. But these examples at least give you something of the flavor of what happens in the Free-Beingness realizaton and as it integrates into life.
There are two sections here:
"David's discerning feedback has opened entirely new vistas for me. His genius includes simplifying profound realizations and helping to creatively integrate them in daily life without "efforting". It is as if he found the keys to unlock higher human faculties and a new language of body/heart/soul. Aspects of being, feeling and awareness merge in completely new, often exhilerating ways. I was suprised and thrilled to find how easy this could be. What a gift !"
-- Gary McCabe, Body Worker and Tai Chi teacher, New Jersey
"David has really discovered something ground breaking and powerful. He has brought, "high art", as well as the best elements of the scientific method to the consciousness arena. His painstaking efforts and willingness to constantly evolve is truly remarkable ! It is a blessing to find someone who blends the best elements of science, experiential bodywork processes, pragmatic psychology and true intuition into a program that delivers on it's promise, and quickly at that ! David wants you to really get his work and gives you a level of time and involvement I have never experienced in 35 yrs of meditation and personal growth !
Free-Beingness is the alive awareness that is inferred by so many spiritual programs. It won't give you a new line of psychobabble. Its benefits are tangible and they continually become more evident in your daily life. I would advise not comparing it to anything! I have discussed with Dave, that it most closely resembles the intelligence that you see in the way a cut heals, or the circulatory or digestive system run without our interference. Despite our abuses, they elegantly take care of themselves and strive for harmony and equilibrium. You become a vessel for the same creative intelligence that exists in nature. This creativity which you see evident in great artists, composers, actors seems to germinate and become the guiding force of your life. A tangible and real excitement become staples in your everyday existence. You can only know by availing yourself of David's work which I wholeheartedly advise you to do!"

"David, you asked me to write down what I could remember of what I said today when you did the embodied beingness experience with me. I don't know that I can recall what I said, because I was in the awareness of that experience and not so connected to my mind, but I will try to give you what I remember.
First, when we began, I had this very strong feeling/impression that I already knew where we were going, that I was remembering something I had forgotten, or something I know, that is so very familiar, but that somehow I have lost track of. I recognized this space/place/vibration, whatever you want to call it, and had this overwhelming sense of remembering. With a fondness.
Then, when I was able to blend my body self vibration into the awareness vibration, I described it to you as the place before everything. It is the place I remember. It is the place that I have always wanted to go back to, from the time I was a little girl. But it is a place that by habit, for my entire life, I have left my body and gone out to, and it has been hard for me to integrate it into here. It was there and I was here, except when I went out there. And what I realized today was this embodied sense of there is here. The way I described it to you was that before I always felt my body self here and then would go out or up or separate in some way to go to my higher Self, but what I was able to do today was shift that so that self and Self were together. And then I felt/saw my self, the physical Georgia, subsumed into, or merged with, my Self, a much greater vibration that doesn't have edges/boundaries or is unending. It is as if my self Georgia is holographically projected by my Self, the whole Self. I actually could see it that way, and that is what I mean when I say it is as is self Georgia was subsumed - not it a negative or diminished way, but just that the holographic projection of Georgia is not as large as the whole all encompassing Self.
Making this shift was somewhat unsettling for a moment, because my habit has been so wedded to the experience/mechanism of going out to Self separate from Georgia self. Everything changed. An awareness opened up and I was able to see exactly that everything that I have been before is projected - but I was actually able to see how the projection occurs. Then when you had me blend my Self vibration with the whole world, everything, I initially resisted, asking you how to I protect myself from negative energies in the world if I am blending with the world, and you said they are projections, and then very instantaneously I saw everything, as if on a movie screen, everything that exists in the projected world, just unwind backwards, like a movie being played back to the beginning, and everything just disappeared into nothingness. Into the beginning. And it is there that I remember.
THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!
Now, everything is different. This changes everything.
The place of Self is hard to describe in words. There is an ebullient feeling of joy and comfort. And it is as if I know everything but without thought or consciousness processing it and also that it doesn't matter that I know everything. It just IS. It is just ISness, no need for words or even for thought. There is some sense of wonder, or wondrousness, but not in a mental cognitive thought processing way.
I told you a number of times, this is home, this is it. This is what I remember.
Thank you for showing me this."
Another student's experience:
"At times, I feel a more bodily sense of merging into wonderful feelings like bliss or ecstacy and other times it is more like a "oneness in light" type experience. In doing this, it feels like I am wrapping myself in these qualities and then absorbing them deeper and deeper into my body. Each step flowed into the next, unfolding in an expanding feeling of translucent, delicious, feeling/awareness.
I really don't have other words to describe it, except that I could probably write a lot of poetry that points to it. It is a whole new kind of experience. These are totally new areas of Beingness and it really is amazing that you have discovered such an eloquent, practical, feelingfull way to experience this. The experience itself started to carry me into a kind of expansive non-experience or perhaps more precisely, I became the experience. It was gentle, and very pleasurable, very natural........wow. I am again, grateful.
As I did this today, I had a chance to totally relax afterwards and I felt lighter and lighter and light-like. It does have a dynamic quality to it and I really like the playful component.
It occured to me how precious and rare these feelings are on the planet today.
There are many other experiences as well. One fascinating aspect of this is watching how intention can set into motion the mixing effect. It reminds me of watching clouds slowly merge into each other and changing shapes. I also find it very interesting that I return to complete ordinariness after stopping. Very grounded and present unlike Kundalini and some other practices.
It was especially helpful when you equated Pure Awareness with the direct intuition of Being. I get it! (at least to a degree). In the past, when someone would teach about Awareness, I would tend to "look" for it but since it is not an object of looking what I probably "found" was what you describe as "Consciousness." A long time ago I was a student of Da Free John, and he used to talk about a "tacit understanding." I feel like you simplified it but if I try to be directly aware of awareness as Awareness I seperate it from the primal Self. Thinking or more precisely, feeling-intuiting Beingness seems to quickly bring me to a place where my mind starts to feel like it is getting absorbed in Being. I am still "aware" of Being so I don't feel like it is exactly the same as Pure Awareness yet. There is much more to explore. It is a slippery fish, this Awareness. The you that is the only one who experiences everything in your life is the same You as this Awareness, correct?
Your realization that spaciousness, infinity etc., is still the content of Awareness was very helpful. What I have found is that everything I normally associate with the "me" feeling is something Awareness is observing, so it is more like a shift of identity to Awareness itself that I suspect actually happens. In the meantime, just knowing that I am actually contentless Awareness and not any object of Awareness is liberating.
I am continuing to have more pleasant experiences with the Bliss Of Peace - merging, bliss, light, peace, etc. and in daily life I feel more relaxed and peaceful in general. When I notice the Awareness that is behind/within/beyond all experiences, it is a bit more clear. If I focus on Awareness now and then through the day, I can kind of fall into it.
It seems to me that the more fully and deeply into life I get, the more that itself becomes transcendence.
I also begin to bring more and more of what I AM into the moment, with less of the self-reflective reference. There are many systems of what I might call "strategic" transcendence. Your approach seems to be more of recognition (once the "Obvious" is pointed out) and development of latent potentialities.
With your help I have entered into a new dimension of living which has far more frequent pleasure, joy, bliss and awareness."
