Plato
Studies (Commentaries):
The
Republic
(What
follows is brief. There will be a more detailed commentary sometime in
the future.)
Plato's
Republic
is a very long dialogue. This commentary will only be
on a very specific part of that dialogue that is most pertinent to the
practice of DEPTH Dialogue. That is Plato's allegory of the cave, and
the example of the divided line which goes along with that. In relation
to both of these is the discussion of ideas (ideai) and forms (eide.)
(This commentary to be added soon.)
